I’m a print-turned-multimedia journalist who loves to go beyond words
and hook an audience with images and design.
I came to photography through journalism. While working as a writer
for newspapers, I produced documentary photography
and video, and fell headlong into visual storytelling. As a photographer, I aim to communicate knowledge and emotion, to bring together form, light, color and meaning--and of course, tell a great story.
Before working as a journalist, I lived and worked abroad in China,
Germany and Austria, and garnered degrees in music and philosophy from
the University of Chicago and Boston University.
